Private Chef for Embassies in Stockholm

Rent a Chef has brought professional chefs to private homes and events in Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö since 2004. Over the years we have been contacted by embassies and residences across Europe, the Americas and Oceania, and we have cooked for diplomatic hosts and guests, at the residence, at the embassy and at our own venue.

Experience with embassies

• Embassy of Canada (2016): a three-course lunch at the embassy, plus menu planning and training of the embassy’s own chef.
• Embassy of Portugal: a dinner in 2022, and a regular guest at the National Day reception. Our founder has also co-authored a Portuguese cookbook (eBook with Chef Chakall, 2021).
• A former Ambassador’s dinner (2024): a dinner we cooked for the previous Ambassador at Kristofer Ruscon’s.
• Quotes and menu proposals for representation dinners of up to 14 guests, a Thanksgiving buffet for 30 guests, receptions and tastings at ambassadors’ residences, and short-notice lunches for visiting ministers and delegations.

• Menus adapted to your home country’s traditions, dietary needs and allergies. Our chefs have worked in the Netherlands and Belgium among others, and can cook Dutch and traditional Belgian cuisine.

Where

At the residence or embassy, wherever you are in Stockholm, or at The Foodlab, our event studio in Vasastan (up to 40 seated or 100 standing guests).

How it works

Tell us the date, number of guests and the occasion, and we will send a menu proposal and a price. We take care of menu planning, shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up.
