Hire a chef at home
Hire a chef and your kitchen and dining table become a restaurant for an evening. You choose dishes from our menu, which is built on seasonal ingredients. As far as possible the ingredients are organic and locally produced.
The chef arrives about 1 to 1.5 hours before dinner and prepares everything in your kitchen. You can either join in and pick up plenty of professional tips and secrets from the restaurant world, or sit back and relax with your guests. When you hire a chef, we take care of shopping, cooking and serving, and we follow current food hygiene guidelines. That makes it easy to hire a chef even for large dinners at home.
Price for hiring a chef
Price: 750 SEK per person* for a three-course menu, plus a service fee of 4,000 SEK (excl. VAT). The service fee covers preparation, transport, shopping, dishes and cleaning, among other things.
*Prices may vary depending on the city and if you change ingredients in an existing menu. Menus can also differ a little from city to city, as we value what is available locally.
If you choose to hire a chef at home, you get a food experience that neither you nor your guests will forget in a hurry. All our services can of course be adapted to a home setting. If you live somewhere without a gourmet restaurant, for example, you can simply bring one home.
Hiring a chef is a comfortable and good-value alternative to going out to a restaurant, at least for a group of six or more. You avoid paying for a taxi and arranging a babysitter. You buy the drinks yourself, and once you have chosen your dishes we send our wine recommendations for each course.
How to book a chef at home
Send an email to info@rentachef.com. State the date and time you want to eat, the address we should come to and your invoice address. Then choose a menu here on the website: a starter, a main course and a dessert. We need this information at least 10 days in advance. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch.
Hire a chef for your company
Birthdays, wedding gifts, birthday gifts or a student graduation party are typical occasions when people hire a chef to come to their home. But it works just as well to hire a chef for your company, either as a dinner for a corporate group or as a mingle buffet when you host customers and partners. We also run active cooking sessions at companies, a pleasant activity with colleagues as a kick-off or team building.
We need a normally equipped home kitchen, an empty dishwasher, a work surface for the chef and a good mood, and we will take care of dinner on site.
You can choose a three-course menu from our seasonal menu. We also have buffets, which you will find below. They suit a mingle at the office or a barbecue party in the garden, for example. Of course we can cook something else according to your own wishes.
We handle all kinds of intolerances and allergies, and if someone is vegetarian or vegan we arrange that too.
If you want a buffet, you can choose from our standard buffets, for example a grill buffet with meat, poultry, vegetables and sides, an Italian buffet with delicacies from the Mediterranean, a classic Swedish buffet from the west coast and much more.
